Why 4D Nature Photography?
One of the things that makes us stand out is that we are 4 photographers from the same family and we all have a passion for nature.   While you will find other types of photos on this website, the vast majority will be of wildlife or natural scenery.  Let me introduce you to our photographers (in family order).

Jim Duffy is retired from the oil industry.  He specializes in wildlife photos and strives to capture interesting behaviors and great detail in his images.

Carol Duffy is employed full time at our local library.  She specializes in birds in flight and seeing something special in the commonplace and small objects like flowers & insects.  She is also our Photoshop expert.

Mike Duffy is a Zookeeper who used to be a sports journalist.   He has an eye for color and composition.   He also likes to take some unusual photos of deserted buildings and the unexpected.

Maureen Duffy is a marine biologist.  She travels extensively for work and gets fantastic opportunities the rest of us can only dream of.  Obviously she is our underwater and marine mammal specialist.

As a rule we don't bait (feed) or harass our subjects.   We only hope to briefly be a part of their lives and then leave them as we found them.  We have nothing but respect for all wildlife.

Many people ask us what we do with our photos.  While we do sell a few, we mostly donate them.  We donate our photos to Wildlife Refuges, National Parks, and Researchers to be used to help educate and excite people to care about and help our natural world.  Some of the places we have donated our photos to are: Chincoteague National Wildlife Refuge, The Great Swamp National Wildlife Refuge, The Great Smoky Mountains National Park,  Cape May Point State Park, Wellfleet Bay Wildlife Sanctuary, Mass Audubon, Cape Cod National Seashore, Bird and Turtle Researchers.
